The Whitsundays is situated in the Coral Sea, approximately 900 kilometres (560 miles) north of Brisbane. The Whitsunday Islands are a group of 74 islands located off the coast of Queensland, Australia, in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef.

Airlie Beach is referred to as the "Gateway to the Whitsunday Islands." It is the primary launching point for travellers heading to this stunning group of islands, including famous destinations like Hamilton Island, Hayman Island, and Whitehaven Beach.
